Well Outer Space Universe Fans….I told you I would stay on this one until we found out the truth about the LCROSS lunar impact event held on October 9, 2009. The results are in and there is evidence of water on the Moon! Scientists have verified that the debris plume (which was not visible to me on the day of impact) did, in fact, contain about 25 gallons of water.

At 7:35am EST, the NASA LCROSS Satellite crashed into the Moon! Fortunately, this was’t an accident! In fact, this highly choreographed mission was designed to send the spacecraft directly into the lunar surface in an effort to detect water vapor.
Crater Erlanger: Where the Sun Don’t Shine on the Moon
This week, Nasa released images of Crater Erlanger. Normally, a picture of a crater on the moon is a big snoozer, but this one could be special. Since this crater is located near the north pole of the moon and the moon’s axis is only tilted by 1.5 degrees, the sun’s rays never reach the bottom.
